Swiftwater Rescue
Whether you need swiftwater, flood, river, whitewater, or stream rescue training, Sierra Rescue has the class for you. As the California and Western Regional Training Center for Rescue 3 International, we bring 25+ years of experience delivering NFPA-compliant SRI, Rescue 3, and California State Fire Marshal courses. Our programs are tailored to your environment and trusted by Fire Departments, Search and Rescue teams, USAF, US Coast Guard, Sheriff Departments, and more, including specialized courses for fisheries personnel and private boaters.
Technical Rope Rescue
These technical ropes courses meet the requirements for the NFPA 1670 standard at Operations Level (TRR-OL) and at the Technician Level (TRR-TL) for technical rope incidents. Our classes are hands on and field oriented. A short classroom session is followed by multiple days of practical field experience. Our field settings are specially selected for their excellent training potential and have made Sierra Rescue the Rescue 3 International Regional Training Center for California.
Wilderness First Aid
We all need to know what to do when something goes wrong; whether it is in a remote river canyon, Forest Service Road or far in the back country. Our wilderness medicine classes including Wilderness First Responder (WFR), Wilderness First Aid (WFA), and Wilderness First Aid and CPR are focused on giving you hands on skills and knowledge so that you can make educated decisions and know what to do when confronted with a wilderness setting emergency. Come learn in a realistic environment that is supportive, educational and fun!
