Swiftwater and Flood Rescue Technician 1 and Advanced (SRT/SRT-A)

This is the Swiftwater and Flood Rescue Tech 1 and Swiftwater and Flood Rescue Tech Advanced courses taught back to back.  This class is the training for personnel looking to meet the requirements for the Technician level NFPA 1670 Standard on Operations and Training for Technical Rescue Incidents and the NFPA 1006 Standard for Rescue Technician Professional Qualifications in the area of water. This Swiftwater and Flood Rescue Technician curriculum is specifically designed for fire fighters, rescue teams and professional rescuers who need the best swiftwater training available!  You will be engaged in a full immersion, 50 hour training that rocks! 
The swift water rescue course is very active in the water and is suitable for rescuers with no water rescue experience. This water rescue course also offers experienced rescuers the opportunity to develop their skills and push their personal limits on and off the water with realistic rescue scenarios, self-rescue challenges, and lots of hands-on interactive rescues and experiences. The Swiftwater and Flood Rescue Tech Advanced portion further concentrates on rescue in hard to get to areas and more difficult swiftwater situations. This is done by integrating the SWRT-1 techniques into more difficult technical swiftwater rescue situations.
