(FAEC) OSHA Standard First Aid & Emergency Care (4 hours)
Click here for course dates & locations. This course is a stand alone course or it can be combined with any of our other course offerings. Most commonly it is combined with our CPR-Adult, Child and Infant. Students receive a 2 year certification through American CPR and are OSHA compliant. This is a scenario based coursed that is action packed and fast paced. We keep people moving and there is very little sitting down. This course gets rave reviews!
(CPR) CPR-Adult, Child and Infant – OSHA approved (3 hours)

One of the most important goals of this course is to have each participant come away from this training with the confidence and competence to actually perform these skills in an emergency situation. Hands-on practice is one of the most important elements in retention and self-confidence. Each class participant will be given the opportunity to practice the CPR and Airway Obstruction skills they learned about during the class. Each participant will be given their own barrier mask and gloves to protect them from infectious disease. Each person will need to practice the CPR skills demonstrated to receive a certification card. If for any reason they are unable to perform the steps, they may verbally go through the practice steps. 2 year Certification
(FA/CPR) First Aid and CPR – OSHA approved (8 hours)
Click here for course dates & locations. This is a very popular course choice. It is a combination of our OSHA Standard First Aid and Emergency Care and our OSHA Adult, Child, and Infant CPR. The course is stand alone or you can add on either BBP and/or AED training. All of this can be done in a full and fun 8 hour day. It is all hands on and scenario based. We keep people up, moving and engaged. The day flies by and people are usually amazed at how much they have learned.
(WFA-CPR) First Aid with a Wilderness Focus and CPR- OSHA approved (8 hours)
Click here for course dates & locations. This is our most popular course!! It is an 8hr First Aid and CPR course with a wilderness focus. Students receive a Wilderness First Aid Card (good for two years) and an OSHA Approved First Aid and Adult, Child, and Infant CPR Card (good for two years). This meets or exceeds the minimum requirement for most CPR/ First Aid training needs. Sierra Rescue presents skills and techniques according to practice guidelines established by the Wilderness Medical Society. It is an action packed, scenario based course. (CPR/AH) Advanced Health Care First Aid and CPR-OSHA approved (8 hours)
Click here for course dates & locations. This course is meant for the healthcare provider. It includes training for Adult, Child, and Infant CPR, AED, and BBP. There is a test included and is a super fun and engaging course. If you are not a health care provider we recommend our Basic First Aid and CPR course combo.
(BBP) BBP: OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens & Universal Precautions (2 hours)

The bloodborne pathogen course taught for rescuers in conjunction with CPR or First Aid training is based upon the OSHA Bloodborne Pathogen Standard and is designed to educate bystanders and rescuers in some of the pathogenic exposure risks inherent in first aid contact. The course includes a discussion of the epidemiology and symptoms of bloodborne diseases, an explanation of the modes of transmission, the recognition of tasks that may involve exposure, an explanation of Universal Precautions, Work Practice Controls, Engineering Controls, Administrative Controls, and the use of Personal Protective Equipment. The course will also discuss the employer’s responsibilities, including the availability of an Exposure Control Plan, and employee accessibility to the Hepatitis B vaccine.
(AED) Automatic External Defibrillator (2 hour)

Current research indicates that the chance of surviving Sudden Cardiac Arrest is improved by up to 70% if an AED is used within the first few minutes. How the AED works, why they are so important and more research information will be introduced in this first section. Each class participant will be given the opportunity to practice the AED skills they learned about during the class. Each participant will be given their own barrier mask and gloves to protect them from infectious disease. Each person will need to complete the AED skills checklist to receive a certification card. If for any reason they are unable to perform the steps, they may verbally go through the practice steps.
